Why Do You Use Linkedin Opportunities

Why do You Use LinkedIn and What’re the Opportunities

No one can deny the fact that LinkedIn is bringing the wings to many people’s dreams. You may see many people get the job, recruit someone, get a business partner and what not. Why do you LinkedIn?

Have you ever given a thought to this question? In the recent times, I have discovered that even the people having the professional taglines are confused.

They are still trying to dig as if what’s the motive to be on this platform. You all know that it’s one of the biggest professional networks.

But not everyone has the insight to use it as it should be.

I get a lot of messages people asking as if what’s so special about this platform and how can they scale.

Before that, I ask them a question “why do you use LinkedIn?”.

There are Two Types of LinkedIn Users

Just to be straightforward, you’re going to come to know about the different types of LinkedIn users. Though it’s hard to categorize everyone still I am going to create only two.

#1. Personal Brand Building

This is the only reason most of the LinkedIn users are working for. It’s because a LinkedIn user wants to become an Influencer.

People get confused between social media marketing and influencer marketing. Well, the influencer marketing starts just at an instant when you start connecting with many people.

These are the people.

  • Bloggers
  • Freelancers
  • Startups
  • Coaches

It’s not just about letting people know who you’re and what you do, it’s about forging a brand of your own.

I started a few years back and successfully gained 20000+ LinkedIn followers. Now, people know me as a LinkedIn Influencer.

It’s not just about the number, it’s about how I use it.

I help people to solve their problems related to WordPress and I get the response like this. More people want to connect with me.

You can do the same. Never underestimate your skills.

Showcase what you have. There are a few things required.

  • Never forget to complete your profile
  • Always mention your skills
  • Use a professional tagline
  • Use related keywords
  • Never skip the profile picture
  • Remain consistent

The last point is what you should never forget. Being consistent is what I have been following for years and the results are glorious.

#2. People Working for a Company

This is a totally different scenario. People work for someone else having a fixed salary. I have encountered many people who keep asking as if what’s the best way to scale their business.

Their business means they refer to a company they work for and the boss who gets the credit for their hard work.

Every now and then, I meet people asking “Why do you use LinkedIn”. It’s because not everyone is good with this field of work.

But still, there are many who have been tasting the sugar for so long and are still enjoying their corporate life.

These may be:

  • Recruiters
  • Company Executives
  • SEO Analysts
  • PR Managers

You can’t even mention all the designations people have in this business world.

And you also know that people are more likely believing in spreading their online business. Everyone is ready to scale his/her offline business to their internet world.

You may see a lot of people approaching you for their company. If you’re a web developer, web designer, Android developer, a great writer, business marketer, social media marketer etc, you can have the opportunities.

What can you do to make you look professional?

  • Never forget to add your work experience
  • Always connect with the influencers
  • Make the company owners understand what you’re capable of
  • Get as many hits as you can
  • Use your humor to make your posts viral

If you’re a blogger, freelance writer, you can make your post viral using some ways. The social media platforms have the power to transform a simple post into something thousands of people will adore.

Why do use LinkedIn Platform? Are you your own boss or someone else if ruling over your desires?

People have different choices and no one can judge them. You may know many who are making millions just because they work for a reputed company.

But people who have built their career their own by becoming their own boss are living a dream.

What kind of User are You and Why do You use LinkedIn

You can’t change what you have done but you can change what’s going to be in the future. I would never stand to keep doing the work I would regret later.

Whether you’re a freelancer or have a full-time job, you should find the reason to use this professional platform.

I have had it enough and finally, I chose my life as someone I always thought to be. I really dig the people who know the reason of their life in this corporate world.

I am mentioned “corporate” because I see everyday people suffering, suffocating of their jobs, their daily routine. Every has a dream to be free and become successful in the professional life.

Why do you use LinkedIn? Depending on your career choice, you should learn the best practices to make you stand on LinkedIn.

Best of luck.

  1. Hello Ravi,

Very informative post over here ?

Indeed Linked.in is one of the best professional social media platform where we can meet the people of same ideas, group and

also can even start a work together. At starting linked.in used to bounce off my head and I was confused how to establish

my authority over here. Slowly I discovered how beneficial it is to get our list grow strong so that it could help us in a

long run. Yeah I have seen people who work for a particular company and do whatever is needed to to be done for the betterment

of the company, for a fixed salary.

I use linked.in to get going with the like minded people who can support my stuff and I can do the same for them. To create

a bond of working and ethnic values so that it can help me in the long run.

    Thanks for the share.

    Shantanu.

  2. Hi Ravi, very timely for me Ravi. I have started a new day job but haven’t put it on my LinkedIn profile yet. I am keeping my side gig as my main focus there. Is that correct to do that? I’d love to know how others manage that.

I noticed when I said I left my job a few folks on Facebook came to check out my LinkedIn Profile – funny how that happened!

I can’t wait to hear your advice on this one, it’s been on my mind.

    1. Hey Lisa,

It’s up to you. If you’re planning to do this job for long then you should add it to your LinkedIn profile. People are really smart these days and LinkedIn is the first platform they check.

Just to let you know, Forbes prefers a user with a strong LinkedIn profile than anything else.

      Thanks for stopping by.

  3. Hi Ravi,

I use LinkedIn as a blogger and product creator. I like it because there is a soft market there that I can engage with. When I meet someone new I direct them to my blog (my home) so they can see what I’m about. When I want to market something, I do it softly instead of being one of those pushy marketers.

Mostly I share other blogs and my own there.

I also use LinkedIn to be more “professional” when I’m marketing.

I can see how valuable it is for folks that have “Jobs” and are looking for new ones.

  4. Hi Ravi,

I’ve thought about getting started with Linked.in, but never took the jump. To tell you the truth, I created an account but never took the time to fill out the profile or anything else.

It looked kind of confusing to me. I know that I may be missing the boat, but to tell you the truth, I am focusing on growing my YouTube channel and learning Pinterest.

If I ever do decide to use Linked.in, I’ll definitely be sure to check out your tutorials. You have a lot of great tutorials that will help anyone get started with that social network.

Thanks for taking the time to share, have a great day ?

    Susan

  5. Hi Ravi,

You rightly spoke about ensuring a professional look to our identity by cementing our chances for bagging loads of orders.

Yes, although updating my LinkedIn account was never my cup of tea, but i will surely be engaging myself with my list of achievements to help my clients know about “Who I am”…Thanks again

  6. Hey Ravi

It’s good to be here on Blogging Love.

That is so true that LinkedIn is doing an outstanding job for many people belongs to different fields. There are officials of top-level management, Employees, Recruiters, Job Seekers, Freelancers and whose not, who are looking for better opportunities.

I never took LinkedIn that serious but now I think, I should complete my profile. There are some pending fields and some are not updated. I think it’s high time.

Anyway, thank you for sharing this. Really appreciated.
